February Favourites.

Monday, 27 February 2017

Now I've been meaning to create a favourites post for forever now, so I decided to use this gloomy weathered Sunday to write one! From make up, to clothing items, to perfumes, to just completely random things.. I am going to show you what I've been loving this past month!

1. Flower pattern mom jeans.

Mom jeans are kind of like marmite, you either love them or hate them. But in my case I am a big lover of them (and also of marmite in that case!). I feel that these mom jeans can be worn with pretty much anything. They can be dressed up with a pair of black heeled boots or casual with an oversized woolly jumper and a pair of converse. And the main thing I love is just how comfy they are!

2. The classic half up half down hair look.

I have been utterly obsessed with these half up half down hair looks this month, I feel like an ultimate 80's throwback with the big wavy hair and a pinafore on. These hairstyles are so so simple and make you look like you've actually spent a lot of time on your hair so effortlessly (It's
secretly a great cover up for when you've not washed your hair, if you know what I mean).

3. L'oreal True match foundation.

This is a must for me, I've been through a lot of foundations in my time but this is above anything else I've ever tried. On the bottle it states that it works to match skin tone and textures and that is definitely what it does! The formula is so light and silky yet has a pretty high level of coverage, (which means that you don't need the added extra bother of concealer on top.) This product cost me around £6-7, which if you're a beauty lover you'll know that's an incredible price for such a good foundation. Can you tell how much I love this yet? All I will say is I highly recommend it, and if you don't like it then I don't like you.. Just kidding!

4. Boohoo oversized coat.

Now this coat when I first bought it wasn't my favourite, and in fact I even tried to sell it. But once I actually put it on with a nice outfit and wore it out I fell in love with it instantly. If I recall correctly it cost me £35 and is possibly the best £35 I've ever spent. This was from boohoo which I am totally obsessed with, the only problem with being so obsessed with boohoo is that its made me to be a poor student.. hint hint, please hire me and send me free clothes (life would be a dream!)

5. Daniel Wellington watch.

My Daniel Wellington watch is most possibly the most beautiful thing that's ever been bought for me (by my lovely boyfriend). Now I've never been much of a watch person until these Daniel Wellington watched came around. I was the sort of person that would wear the watch for a week and then just leave it in a draw to get old and dusty, sorry. But since I was given this watch for my 19th birthday I've not taken it off (well except for showers of course). But this watch right here is my pride and joy, and makes every outfit I wear look just that little bit more classy and fancy.

6. Mermaid Makeup bag.

This make up bag was bought for me as a Christmas gift from my sister, and I am absolutely in love. Not just for the fact that I absolutely love mermaids, the colour black and glitter (such a typical white girl move). But the fact that its the perfect size for all of my make up makes me v happy, it even has a little pocket inside which would be very handy for all of your little girly essentials.

7. Blue velvet make up bag/pencil case.

This little blue bag, is my little fix to help with my obsession with velvet (once again this was bought for me by my cute boyfriend, who luckily understands my love for velvet). This is made to be a little make up bag but I've opted for using it as my little pencil case, because nothing motivates you more to do work than a pretty little velvet bag full of stationary.

8. The body shop liquid lipsticks.

After watching countless amounts of review videos on their products, I decided to venture into the body shop a few weeks back for the first time. And I must say its a bit of a shock on your bank account but well worth it! I picked up two body washes, now I'm not 100% on the names of these but I know that one was to do with berry's and the other to do with honey. (May I just say they are the most beautifully smelling products I've ever encountered!)

But then I came across the make up section, and spotted these liquid lipsticks. They had a 'three for two' deal on and I couldn't resist, so I picked up three shades. One being a cute little peachy shade 30 Crete Carnation Shade 61376 a darker red shade 16 Tahiti Hibiscus Shade 61387 and finally a darker red shade with a hint of purple 17 Mauritius Dahlia Shade 61388 . I'd never tried a liquid lipstick before so I was hella excited, and all I can say is that they DID NOT disappoint with the added extra of tasting like bananas!

My little rating of these products is definitely a 9.5/10. The only negatives of it and where it loses that 0.5 is that the product can sometimes come off a little too easily but other than that I definitely recommend!

9. IKEA glass mug.

Now this ones a bit of a weird one if I'm completely honest, it has the most beautiful design on it and that's why I instantly fell in love with it and its simple design. I picked this mug up for only £3 in IKEA, and I am very glad that I did. This product totally messes with your head because you're forever in fear that the glass will smash as a result of the heat, but after all it is a mug and is designed to withstand heat of tea/coffee and so I think its literally one of the coolest things ever! (oh yeah, cool until everyone judges you on how milky you drink your tea) But if you love your hot drink I highly recommend this as a little random thing to add to your collections!

10. White trainer/shoes.

As you can see these shoe's are totally run down and over worn, but I am in love and these are my go to shoes. I think I managed to pick these up in a little primark shoe sale for only £6 and I am so glad that I did. These have become my little go to shoes for everything from lectures to dressed down nights out at the student union and I can't seem to get enough of them. Mom jeans, just add these trainers. Skinny jeans, just add these trainers. Pinafore, Just add these trainers. Yes they are incredibly dirty and old by now, but pair them up with a cute little pair of frilly socks and you are ready to go! I feel like everyone needs a go to pair of comfy shoes like these in their life, and if you don't.. please go and get some!

If you made it to the bottom, thank you very much for reading! Here's a question for you to answer in the comments on my Instagram; let me know what you've been loving this month?

Keep up to date with me on my other social media;

Thank you lovelies, catch you again soon! xo
